Come grab a beer from us at the Whitefish Ski Joring Championships!
Ski Joring ('skē-jȯr-iŋ) is a winter sport where a person on skis is pulled by a horse, a dog (or dogs) or a motor vehicle. It is derived from the Norwegian word skikjøring meaning ski driving.
Modern ski joring combines Whitefish's signature ski racing heritage with Big Sky Country's cowboy roots, into a wild, fast-paced, and entertaining spectator event. The World Ski Joring Championships have grown into a very large party that features spills and thrills, hot food, and of course - a GNBC beer garden! Come see us!
Entry to the event will be $5.00 for adult spectators. Children 12 and under will not be charged. All spectators will be provided a no charge bus transfer starting at Whitefish High School at 10 am and continuing through the end of the Ski Joring event. There is no charge for the bus transfer either to the event or returning from the event on both Saturday and Sunday.
