Firkin Tapping

Join us in a new Draught House tradition - the occasional tapping of a firkin keg! Some background: firkin beer is unpasteurized and naturally carbonated and conditioned inside the firkin through the use of active yeast. It is typically served at a slightly warmer temperature than usual to allow for the yeast to stay active and keep the beer carbonated. In terms of size, a firkin is equal to just under 11 gallons...so don't miss out!

This week's firkin beer is an East Coast Style Farmhouse IPA!

The small batch, hazy IPA bursts with mango, pineapple and tropical fruit flavors and aromas. Traditionally cask conditioned, this farmhouse IPA was carefully crafted to create these unique flavors using the delicate combination of American hops along with esters formed from brettanomyces and lactic acid.
