Firkin Tapping

Join us in a new Draught House tradition - the occasional tapping of a firkin keg!

Next on the docket is Falconer's Flight Pale Ale!

Using the base beer as Big Mountain Tea Pale Ale (TPA) - before the bergamot flavoring was added - our brewers dry-hopped with the Falconer's Flight 7-Cs hops blend. This particular blend of hops will give the traditionally cask-conditioned Pale Ale strong fruit and citrus characteristics with layers of spicy and earthy overtones.

Some background on firkins:

Firkin beer is unpasteurized and naturally carbonated and conditioned inside the firkin through the use of active yeast. It is typically served at a slightly warmer temperature than usual to allow for the yeast to stay active and keep the beer carbonated. In terms of size, a firkin is equal to just under 11 gallons...so don't miss out!
